Quaint Victorian Holiday 

Help kickstart the season at Shoreline with a fun workshop where you'll create festive wreath designs, and swags using natural materials. Your creations will be featured in the landmark home's exterior. Refreshments will be served, and an optional historical tour of the museum will be offered after the workshop. Share the decorating experience with family and friends, and thanks for helping to keep this museum tradition going.

Free docent-led tours are available during normal museum hours via the City of Mountain View on Tuesdays and Wednesdays from 1 to 4 PM and select Saturdays. Click for the most updated schedules.

Jun. 11th, 2023: Learn the principles of flower design from our in-house florist, Barbara Gordon. Tea and snacks will be served. Optional docent-led tour of the museum home to follow. Ages 4 to 80+ years old are welcome. Space is limited.  Click for tickets.

Join us for guided birdwatching, museum home tours, vintage games, and crafts in the garden. Bird expertise and binoculars are on loan courtesy of our partners, Santa Clara Valley Audubon Society.

MUSEUM & GROUNDS TOURS

FREE ADMISSION | Sun. Sept 14th, 11 AM-2 PM
 
Guided birdwatching, museum home tours, crafts, and other family-friendly activities round out this fun and educational museum and garden event. All are welcome! BYO binoculars or borrow a pair from the onsite avian experts at SCV Bird Alliance—our event partners. Donations to the museum are appreciated and support the museum collection and community events like this.

Birds of the Bay at Rengstorff House (family-friendly)

Learn the stories of the past through a free docent-led tour of the museum decorated for the holidays. Grab a complimentary sweet treat while you explore, and check out our collection of commemorative Rengstorff House ornaments for sale.

Museum hours are Tues & Wed, 1-4 PM, and select Saturdays 12-3 PM as follows: 12/2, 12/16, & 12/30. Donations are appreciated. 

All purchases support the museum, outreach, and events. Select ornaments are available next door at Shoreline Lake American Bistro.
